For those who want to learn more about Bosnia and Herzegovina...

Bosnia and Herzegovina is a land full of natural wonders: it is home to the deepest canyons in Europe, numerous waterfalls, the coldest river with drinking water quality, and wild horses that roam freely across the land. Mysterious stone spheres are scattered throughout the forests, and around 60 impressive stone thrones, overgrown with moss and ferns, await the revelation of their mysterious past. Ira Nagel, a native of the Netherlands, shares her love for this fascinating country with small groups of travellers. She guides her guests to both well-known and hidden spots throughout Bosnia, where they practice meditation and energy work. Ira radiates authenticity and Spirituality, and a journey under her guidance is an unforgettable experience. So far, she has led her groups in Dutch, but she also plans to offer some trips in English.

Ira Nagel from the Netherlands moved to the Bosnian Valley of the Pyramids in 2022 after closing her spiritual Namaste Café in her homeland. There, she now hosts dynamic spiritual retreats, both at the Bosnian Pyramids and other fascinating locations across the country. Through her work, she helps you awaken to a new level of Spirit, not just the soul. This profound awakening lifts the veil of Maya (illusion) once and for all.

In Bosnia and Herzegovina, I have met some eccentric people—extraordinary personalities who, like me, have fallen in love with this country and wish to share it with others in their own unique way. To me, Bosnia and Herzegovina is the secret garden of Southeastern Europe. One of these remarkable individuals is David. He came here during the Bosnian War, fell in love with Tamara, his now-wife, and decided to stay. Thanks to David, I’ve learned a great deal about this wonderful country. If you appreciate historical anecdotes with a touch of British humour, David is the perfect guide. He is a true expert on the Banja Luka area. The couple runs a charming Bed & Breakfast there, where they warmly welcome guests and are always happy to share their extensive knowledge of the region as local guides.

David's digital magazine, "Coffee and Rakija," reflects life in modern-day Bosnia and Herzegovina through the eyes of an immigrant (David) who has lived in this country for over 20 years. His content dispels many of the negative myths and perceptions that are still widely held about this often misunderstood country.

You can find "Coffee and Rakija" at: https://anenglishmaninthebalkans.com

"Coffee and Rakija" is free to subscribe to.

It is in English, but David speaks fluent German.
